Big Five, beautiful scenery and interaction with Samburu tribes (bezocht in juli 2015)

Review geschreven door Femke Mooij op 12 november 2017

Rift valley, just North of Mount Kenya, is the land of the Samburu tribes, nomadic warriors who live in manyattas (huts). They live of the blood and milk of their cattle, mainly goats and camels. It is also the land of the Big Five and many more wildlife. You can drive in your own (or rented) car through Buffalo Springs NP or Samburu NP or go on an organized tour. In both cases yo have a good chance to see the Big Five very close. You can also see crocodiles, giraffe, several species of deer, and hundreds of different birds. We visited Samburu NP on our own with 3 young children. On our way we visited several traditional Samburu villages, where our children played with the Samburu children and as the chief showed us aal the huts and explained their way of live, which was very interesting.
